Amazing Whole Life Challenge
Success Stories

Posted by DishragDiarist on March 1, 2013 in Resource Referrals, Whole Life Challenge with 1 Comment

You may have noticed that I’m back to adding that recipes are “Whole Life Challenge” or “WLC” compliant. You also might remember me doing this Challenge last fall. I meant to write about this earlier, but yes, I am doing another round with my CrossFit box. Below I am belatedly sharing the success stories of two friends who joined me in doing last year’s Challenge. Their stories are more than worth the few minutes to read for anyone who needs to make healthful changes in their life. (<– That’s all of us!) Read the rest of this entry »

Posted by DishragDiarist on January 9, 2012 in Book Reviews, Main Dishes/ Meals, Recipes, Resource Referrals with 4 Comments

It comes from one of my absolute favorite cookbooks, Simple Food {for winter}. Our bodies crave seasonal eating and this cookbook makes it so easy (and kid-friendly). It’s available in hard or soft copy. Check it out!

Posted by DishragDiarist on August 30, 2011 in Resource Referrals, Uncategorized with 2 Comments

I may have mentioned that I don’t have the biggest sweet tooth in the world (I’ll choose a pile of salty french fries to dip in ranch dressing over a tray of brownies any day), but even I have a hankering for dessert sometimes. And my kids – and hubby – certainly do.

Posted by DishragDiarist on April 8, 2011 in Parenting/ Discipline, Resource Referrals with 2 Comments

The biggest challenge to eating healthy, for many families, is not finding a local source for meat, or learning to soak grains, but trying to get the little ones on board, especially if it is a big change from how they had been eating. With my youngest, it is much easier, as she has been presented with healthy food all of her life. However, she is not immune to the influences of the world, and so it’s not always smooth sailing. Here are some great resources to help. Read the rest of this entry »
