I usually hesitate to post recipes that require very specific ingredients. Although I do recommend brands that I prefer, I have always hated – even before I was a Real Foodie -  when recipe ingredient lists would say “Toll House Chocolate Chips” or “College Inn Broth.” Really? The cookies won’t set up with store-brand chips? The soup’s just not going to turn out with different broth?

Anyway, I digress… The point is, I don’t know how to make this particular recipe without one specific item from US Wellness Meats. Their raw braunschweiger is to die for. Made of 60% grass-fed beef and 40% beef liver, along with delicious spices, it is a Godsend; It’s not all that often that you find a completely painless way to get healthy organ meats into your family.
