It’s times like this that I realize it’s a good thing I’m writing a blog, and not a book. That way, when I forget things I can just do a new post… Otherwise I’d have to mail you additional book pages, and you’d have learn to re-bind books, and it’d be a drama… ;)

Non-Toxic Personal Care:
The Skin You’re In (Plus a Giveaway!)

We recently discussed hand-washing, and how important it is to make sure that what you’re using to clean your hands isn’t covering your skin in chemicals or toxins. Well, how much more so for your face!

Women have been programmed to believe that we need crafted facial washes, followed by stinging toners, creamy moisturizers, protective eye-creams, plumping wrinkle creams… But doesn’t it make more sense that our skin is generally able to take care of itself? Doesn’t it make sense to think that part of the grand design of our bodies is that our skin is reasonably self-sufficient?

Of course, we do things that affect this self-sufficiency, like slather on makeup, pollute the air with which our skin comes in contact, etc. So sometimes we do need a little help.
