Some Blog Housekeeping

Posted by DishragDiarist on April 28, 2011 in Kid-Friendly Changes, Uncategorized with 4 Comments

Welcome to all of our new readers and subscribers! I’m so happy to have you all here!

As this blog/ website continues to grow and change, I learn how to better do things. And so, I need to do some “housekeeping” around the site.

You may have noticed that there haven’t been as many posts lately. There are a lot of things that have to be done behind the scenes, and I’ve been focusing on those. But not to worry, we’re getting back on track.

To catch up, I’m going to focus on closing the many open series I have!

*I will not continue the Kid-Friendly Changes series, and instead will write about other changes in a different format.

*I will work to close up the Non-Toxic Personal Care series in the next couple of weeks (the cosmetic portion may take a bit longer).

*I will work to close up the Non-Toxic Home Care series following that.

*After that, I think we’ll return to the basics of Real Food.

Updated Posts

Did you know that I routinely update past posts? I think this is the best way to keep related information together. As it is, the blogging format can be so full of ‘see here’ links that I think having the info on one page is helpful. So, if a topic is of interest to you, check back periodically. Another option is to comment, and then subscribe to the comment chain. Often my update is in the comments, or I will comment to direct you to an update in the text. Recently updated:

Please continue your feedback on what you’d like to see or questions you have. And remember that I’d love you to share your recipes, too. You can send them to me at info@dishragdiaries.com.

As always, thanks for reading!

OK, I know what you're thinking: This post would have been helpful about a week and a half...

I’d like to know more about Soy. Is it all bad for you? I’ve seen on so many healthy eating sites about how soy is a super food. Is this not correct?

Ok, so ‘doing stupid things’ is definitely genetic. I just clicked on the Dabbling In Stocks link above thinking I was going to get some free financial advice, and for a few seconds was actually confused as to what chicken feet had to do with NASDAQ. Never mind that I didn’t at all question why you might be writing about your portfolio on your food blog…

To Val – At least you got my play on words; I was afraid no one would. Did you also wonder why I had the picture of all the chicken broth packages with this post? LOL. That’s so funny!

Angela – Very good topic. I will definitely put it on the plan. I can give you the short answer that I actually avoid soy. Which is difficult b/c it is in EVERYTHING. And I would only ever consume organic soy b/c almost all non-organic soy is genetically modified. But I’ll go into all the whys in a future post and you can see what you think!
